WORK IN PROGRESS
Currently being restored are the 1929 overhead cam 350 Humber (left) and the 1931 AJS S3 v-twin.

The AJS is currently being worked on in Sammy Miller’s workshops, and the following photos show the restoration in progress. If you’re visiting the museum then ask to pop your head round the door and have a look!

Not a job for the unskilled or faint-hearted - the rear chain enclosure takes shape...

Patterns have been made and a new centre stand, clutch arm and rear brake lever cast

The top end is stripped, new valve guides are made and valves machined to fit

The gearbox is stripped out for new bearings and gears to be fitted
